8 Amazing Tips To Get Traffic To Your Website

On my post for best blogger tips a comment was left asking me what my best 3 methods were I used to get traffic to my site. Well I am going to do better than just list them I am going to also tell you how I use them to help drive targeted traffic to my website.

I like many other bloggers and website owners use a combination of methods to drive traffic to my website. These methods that I use are all free, I do not pay for advertising to drive traffic to my website at all. I currently get over 313,000 visitors a month to this site.

The methods I use are:

1. SEO

I ensure that my website is targeted for the keywords that I want to get traffic from the search engines for. I ensure to write posts with these targeted keywords in the title and body of the post. I ensure I use internal linking of these keywords. I make sure my keywords are bold if not linked.

2. Blogging Fresh Content Regularly

It is really important to post on your blog frequently and it is even more important to make sure that you blog unique fresh content regularly. You can use the publish immediately edit button on wordpress to schedule posts to be placed on your blog at set intervals ie every 6 hours or every 8 hours etc.

3. Article Marketing

Article Marketing was one of my main sources of driving traffic to my website early on but it just got so time consuming and as I like to do all the work myself I have put article marketing on the back burner even though I consider it to be a great source of getting traffic to your website. It works two fold by sending you visitors from article directories who might be reading your post and click on your resource box to visit your website or it might be that the search engine picks up your article from a directory for your chosen keyword.

4. Forums

I often hang out in the warrior forum it is a great source of information from some of the best online marketers around. To utilize forums for your traffic you need to have an offer in your signature file to get people to click on your links and go to your website. Not to mention each link you post when offering advice on the forum is a good quality link back to your website.

5. Joint Ventures

I have in the past been asked to do joint ventures and these can prove to be very lucrative. A joint venture is where you get together with someone who has a product or a large email list and you have the product and you work out a deal with them where you both win.

6. Tag and Ping

Tag and ping is one of the most important methods to bring the traffic to your website. You tag your site so that you get the right people to your site. After all if you are in the make money online business then you only want people who are interested in that to come to your site and pinging is important because it alerts people on a wider scale when you have added new content to your site. I use a rather large ping list in my wordpress blog which has resulted in a greater number of visitors.

7. Social Media

8. Linking Internal & External

I just wrote a post the other day on an internal linking plugin which takes away all the tedious work once you have it setup of adding links to your posts of certain phrases you have listed to go with certain posts it takes about 20 minutes or so to setup but it is well worth the effort.
