Not really touching on adsense all that much myself. I think though that to help clients with their campaigns I have to learn a bit more. This helps!

Adsense supply ads to your site based on the keywords as they try and have website specific ads on your site. So if your site was say a marketing site then you would target for the keyword make money online and get good results for your click thru’s. Or on the other hand if you had a health site great paying keywords can be found in the weight loss list of keywords. Use a keyword tool to check out the list of keywords available a good tool to use is the wordtracker tool you can use it for free for 30 days and this should be enough to work out your target keywords based on your niche if not pay for it. It’s worth it’s weight in gold.
