Are You Losing Affiliate Commissions

Are you losing affiliate commissions?

This is the question that most of us hope the answer will be no but unfortunately the answer will well and truly be a yes. You can lose affiliate commissions in a variety of ways, someone could hack into your site so it pays to check your affiliate links every so often. Somebody who visits your affiliate link may decide to just visit the .com site and not use your link therefore you do not get any commissions from the sale. Clickbank hoplinks can put people off of clicking through so you do not get the commissions.

Do you know if you are losing affiliate commissions?

No you do not really. You just think its a normal day and that you only made a few sales when actually you could have made many many more.

What can I do to prevent myself from losing affiliate commissions?

One of the best ways to protect your affiliate commissions is to change the long url to a shorter version using a program like url shrink or tiny url. I personally use tiny url. What it does is it uses a shorter url and redirects to your link thus when someone clicks on the link they get a tiny url and they do not know where it points to so they will generally just click it to enter the site. This is a great way of protecting your clickbank sales.

Clickbank sales have a hoplink and quite often people use the wrong link and do not get paid any commissions at all. It is important to check you are using the correct link when promoting an affiliate program or product for sale. You want to make sure that you get paid for the work you do.

List of tasks to do to check your affiliate links on your site.

1. Check your affiliate links on your website by clicking on them.

A. To ensure they are still working.
B. To make sure they do not point to someone else's links

2. Shrink all long urls and affiliate urls.

3. Watch your affiliate commissions grow!!!!!

If any of our readers have any other great advice for protecting your affiliate links then please leave it in the comments section.

I personally use a php redirect. I like affiliate links to appear to be a part of my page.

    http://www.mysite.com/affiliate-product.php looks better than tinyurl.com/a3eg8
