Many website owners choose Google adsense as a way to monetize their sites it is not always the best option as for some keywords it can pay very little per click.

However in saying that it is one of the best options for getting keyword targeted advertising.

In order to get the top amount per click you need to ensure your ads are embedded in your content which you have optimized for certain keywords. You are more likely to get clicks on ads if they are relevant to your content as people reading your content will be more interested in the ads.

I believe you have more success with the text and image default than with just the image or just the text ads. I also know through testing that here on this site adsense works better on posts using the float html so that the ad actually has the test of the article running along side and bottom of it. As in this post.

I also know through testing that the best results are by using ads which actually blend in with your site as opposed to9 those ads that are bright and loud meaning like red ads on a predominantly blue site with a yellow background. This sort of google adsense advertising actually annoys your readers and rightly so.

The best positions for Adsense ads in my testing are in the top right hand corner and along the right hand side. If you can only place one ad then I would suggest trying the top right hand corner of your post and do a trial to see how it goes.

There has been some talk about using images as your background for your adsense ads and that this actually increases your chances of getting clicks and it is google adsense approved. in my honest opinion you want your adsaense ads to blend with your site, some of the most successful adsense earners have their ads blending in with their sites so much so that you have to have a second look just to see where they actually make there money from.

If you concentrate on all your posts being keyword rich and fully optimized then you will get the right Google Adsense ads placed on your site. Google have one of the best systems for placing relevant ads on your site. the only time it gets missed matched is when you have a whole heap of different articles on one page and you have not embedded the ad in a particular post.

So in conclusion the best tips I can give you are to:

1. Embed your google adsense in your content

2. Make sure your content is highly optimized for your chosen keyword

3. Use only Google Adsense Blended ads

4. all images on your post to use alt tags for keywords

5. The ads with the best results for content are the large square ads either 360×280 or 300×250

Google adsense works differently on all websites if this doesn’t work for you then do some split testing. Check and see what type of ads work best on your site and when you get the right mix don’t change it or you will find that your earnings may decrease. Google Adsense can be a bit of a hit and miss thing so once you test it and get it right then stick to that and then look at other ways you can monetize your website.

I’m answering a question here today on does adsense make bloggers money. I would have to say yes adsense does make bloggers money for some people Google adsense is highly profitable while for others it only brings them in a few cents a day.

Why is this so?

Let’s have a look, Google adsense is a great way of monetizing your website because Google can tailor your ads shown to your content. So if your blog is about pets then you will get pet related ads. Your visitors are more likely to click on ads if they are relevant to your content than ads that are not tailored or specific to your readers.

The best ads seem to be the large square ads either 300 x 260 or 300 x 250 which is what I use in my posts. I prefer to use in my post just the image ads. You can select to use just text ads or image and text ads or just image ads.

I use the adsense deluxe wordpress plugin so all I need to do is ad a little code to my post and it automatically puts the ad into my posts and I can control the ads to not appear on my home page.

If adsense is not making you money then you need to test some different styles of ads and test the placing of your ads on your website. You can go into your adsense account and assign channel names to your different ads so that you can monitor their performance. Try the different styles of ads the most common ones are the link ads a lot of people prefer the link ads. however I have found a variety between the two is best for my site.

All you people out there who own article dashboard sites will be very interested in knowing that there is a way for hackers to get in and change your adsense code and replace it with theirs. Apparently it is very simple for them to do and many article dashboard site owners have found when checking that they have in fact been hacked and their is someone else’s adsense code on their website.

There is nothing worse than looking at your adsense stats and thinking that is not correct why do my page impressions not correlate with my web stats from inside my domain?….The answer is simple maybe your ads are not really your ads on your article directory and maybe you should check them.

I make it a policy to check my ads weekly to ensure I haven’t been hacked it takes only a few seconds to do. I earn quite a bit from my adsense earnings and wouldn’t like to see someone else get paid for my work.

Adsense ads will soon be showing on your rss feeds if you activate it in your feed burner account. It is a great way to monetize your rss feeds.

How do you activate it, thats simple just log into your feed burner account and click on your feeds and then click on monetize and you can put in your adsense pub id. You will then need to login to your adsense account and let feed burner have access to your ads. you do this by logging into your adsense account and clicking on My Account/ Account Access and then allow access to feed burner.

Once you have gone through this process and make sure it is then enabled on feed burner your rss feeds will come with adsense ads on them.

Feed burner have just started to send some feeds with adsense ads on them so it wont be long before we all start to see it happening, my advice is to subscribe to your own feed so that you can keep an eye on the adsense ads.

If you have a large rss readership then you will find your adsense earnings will increase. So don’t wait log in to your feed burner account and monetize your feed with Google Adsense.

If you did a survey on how most bloggers make their money online they would tell you through adsense ads. What are adsense ads? they are contextual ads that publishers can place a little bit of code on their website and Google AdSense will deliver ads to their site based on the content and try and match the ads.

I see a few people are talking about blogging unique content and how to get it so I thought I would show You one of my measures of getting things to write about that are topical and important issues.

I use forums, I go to a forum like the warrior forum and see what is being asked and whether or not I could answer it in my blog as well as in the forum.

I will do an example today.

Just logged into the warrior forum, in the Adsense SEO area and presto I have what im going to write about

later today.

Is SEO Important at all it sure is and I will Write up about it next post.

It is as easy as that.

No matter what niche your website is in you can always find a forum and look at what people are asking it is generally what a lot of people want to know and you can write about it on your blog. So if you aren’t already a member of a forum that is niche specific then I suggest you do a Google search and join a couple of forums. make sure you setup a signature file as each time you answer a question in the forum it will put a link back to your site in your signature and also help get you some traffic.

Just a question about Adsense, Do you think adsense is really dying?

I actually make quite a bit of money from my adsense ads on my Article Directory, home page and several blogs I currently operate.

I have noticed a decline however in the earnings of adsense and have looked at alternatives.

I believe in order to make money with adsense you need to test the placement of the ads on your site and when you find the position that makes you the most money then you duplicate that on all your pages.

I dont think adsense is dying, I just think that there is more competition for the advertising dollar. Keywords play a major factor in how much money you will earn on your site. If the keywords you target are low paying ones then you will make a few cents here and there. On the other hand if you are targeting high paying keywords then the sky is the limit.

If you dont use adsense then what form of advertising do you use on your site?

Make Money Online

I have been testing my Adsense on all different positions on a few of my sites and im still testing for the optimal positions.

Has anyone had any major differences in positions? I have found that positioning in your actual article or post works the best and can increase your revenue by up to 40%.

Some people say to have it up the top, some say top right hand corner, or top left hand corner, or in the middle. There are so many different options as to where to place your adsense ads that it could drive a person crazy trying and testing.

The aim is to make money online using adsense as well as a whole range of other things but it is so easy to get caught up in the debate of where is best for adsense ads to go on ones site.

Im still testing on this blog, ive tested on my article directory and have found a variety of different positions work depending on what pages are being looked at. Example on the main page @ http://www.MoneyHomeBiz.com/ArticleDashboard you will see ads running under the header image as well as in the body of the main page. This works best for that page. Whereas in the actual articles themselves you will see that my Adsense block is in the actual article aswell as under the header image.

It is interesting to know what type of ads to use too like a skyscraper or wide skyscraper or small sqaure or 336×280 etc. It is important when using adsense to blend it in with your site but on testing it appears the links are better left blue.

Adsense does drive me crazy but it is fun too, to watch your statistics grow and to test new ways all in the effort to maximise adsense revenue for your website.

I just thought id touch a bit on Adsense and the fact that you can really make good money with it or can you?…..

The answer ofcourse is yes you can make some great money online with google adsense. What is good adsense well it is a peice of code you put on your website or blog and google will post ads to your site that coinside with your content as long as your content is keyword rich it will target these keywords and display relevent text ads to suit. When these text ads are clicked upon by your website visitors you then earn a commission from google for every click.

You must never click yourself as this will lead to click fraud and google will terminate your account. Google pay you when your clicks equal $100.00 and believe me it doesnt take very long to earn that kind of money. In fact if you focus on just making money through adsense revenue then you can do this.

Creating an article directory is a great way of increasing your adsense revenue as this will give you lods of free content and the search engines will pick them up as pages on your site once your site has been indexed. As long as you keep your article directory clean and up to date you and do not allow any gambling or illicit type content then you can place your google adsense code on your article post script and each time an article is shown it will have the relevant ad shown as per the keyword of each article.

There are many niches that have high paying google adsense dollars. If you have an article directory then you will certainly contain content relevent to most niches. Like weightloss, making money online etc.

I personally have found google adsense to be a great source of revenue infact I make as much now from google adsense as I do with IMCÂ (The Internet Marketing Center= a free to join affiliate program. I make money by sending out monthly promoting there products and building my list).

Have a great day and remember when creating website pages to add to your site to build content always make each page keyword rich. Meaning build each page targeting a certain keyword so that relevent ads will be displayed. It is a lot easier to get someone to click on an adsense ad when thead is relevent to what they were looking for in the first place then just an ad that has nothing to do with what they were looking for in the first place.

Always remain focused if you decide that adsense is the way you want to make money online then go for it. Start building your site and make sure your site has hundreds if not thousands of pages the more the better. My article directory has over 17,000 articles by over 4,500 authors and is pulled up by the search engines about 5000-6000 times a day.

How much money can you make online? Are there really online millionaires?
