One way is to optimize your website for organic searches by the search engine and what I mean by that is to optimize your site for cetain keywords or keyword phrases.

The next way to generate free traffic to your website is by way of writing articles and submitting them to article directories like

You can use article marketer to submit your articles to hundreds or thousands of other article directories depending on if you use their free submission or paid.

In submitting your articles you need to have a resource box with your main keyword hyperlinked back to your site an example is my main keyword is make money online fast

You can see by clicking on the phrase make money online fast that it points back to my website this is what you need to do in your resource box. If you have optimized your site for a number of keywords then write articles using those keywords in your resource box. You can usually have 3 links in your resource box in most article directories so make the most of every article submission.

It will take a few days and then you will see a significant rise in your day to day traffic the more you optimize your site dont forget to ping google and the other major search engines with a new sitemap. After all you want them to spider your new highly optimized site.
