How to Make Money From Your Targeted Visitor

Whether your site be a make money online, affiliate program, e-book selling, sport, health, pets or any other niche for that matter you want to ensure that your visitor is on your website because they want to be.
What are they looking for?
What is your targeted visitor looking for? How do I find out what they are after? The answer here is relatively easy and a path you should follow as routine.
You have a visitor on your website who did a search for a set of keyword phrases and ended up on your website. Now what were those keyword phrases? One of the best ways to find out if to use Google webmasters tools and check your statistics. You can check searches which will give you the phrases or keywords used to get to your site. Now what you need to do once you know this is to grow on that. You want Google to send you visitors. Especially those that are searching for your products or services.
Why is the above statement true? If a visitor stumbles across your website then they are there sure but they probably are not interested in what you have to offer and will leave your site very quickly and more often than not will not purchase anything.
On the other hand the ones who seek you out in the search engines and they get your website when they search their favorite search engine then they are more likely to purchase from you as they trust there search engine to send them to the right place. Most people trust the first page of their search results from Google. So you need to ensure you stay on page 1 for those keyword phrases that the Google webmasters statistics tool tells you. To do this you need to write targeted posts using these keyword phrases.
Once the targeted visitor arrives you need to have strategies in place to keep them on your site for as long as possible
I use the Cross-Linker plugin which takes my targeted keywords and keyword phrases and links them to specific pages that I have placed in the settings. It takes a little while to first set up but this plugin is a gem. I highly recommend this plugin. It is one of the best wordpress plugins I have found. You can see it working on this post.
Using this plugin then links to other great posts on your website which are relevant to what your targeted visitor was looking for so the chances are extremely high that they will have a look at some more pages from your website.
You can use Alexa traffic details to check how many page views per user to see if your site is keeping your visitor. Mine is currently at 7.4 pages per view per person who visits which is very good.
There are other tactics you can do to keep your visitor longer you can offer contests, free offers, Invite your visitor to comment etc.

Another quick tip that I use. Go through your Google Analytics data and you’ll notice that a lot of your pages are getting organic results that you may not have targeted. It’s real easy to go back and add affiliate banners or adsense strips to these articles that are already getting organic traffic, and I highly recommend it.
